DANAOS research team has invested in the modelling and application of life cycle analysis with the purpose of pursuing sustainable and lean ship management. In ESY DANAOS will aim at further elaborating on the LCA modelling to assist in the design and development of the Ship Lifecycle Performance Model as a tool for ship owners and shipyards to identify opportunities for circularity and waste reduction, while enhancing overall sustainability and economic viability. The ultimate goal of DANAOS is to utilize the ESY platform as a decision support tool for vessel management during the asset’s whole lifecycle.
