We are pleased to announce that ESY will participate in European Maritime Day 2026, taking place on 21–22 May in Limassol, Cyprus.
The project will be represented by its coordinator, National Technical University of Athens, who will showcase EcoShipYard’s work and ongoing progress.
Now in Month 29, ESY continues to advance its mission to promote sustainable shipbuilding practices and material circularity across the European Union.
At EMD 2026, the project will highlight its work on developing innovative solutions to:
- reduce the environmental impact of shipyards
- improve energy efficiency
- optimise shipyard operations
- measure and reduce non-operational impacts
- support circularity in maritime materials and processes
European Maritime Day is the annual meeting point where Europe’s maritime community comes together to network, exchange ideas, and outline joint action for maritime affairs and the sustainable blue economy.
We look forward to joining maritime professionals, policymakers, researchers, industry representatives, NGOs, academia, and citizens in Limassol to discuss how innovation can help shape a more sustainable future for shipbuilding and the wider maritime sector.
