The ESY consortium came together in Brussels on 23 September 2025 for its Mid-Term Review Meeting, marking an important milestone in the journey toward greener and more sustainable shipping. With the European Commission’s Project Officer opening the session, the consortium showcased progress from the first 18 months, highlighting achievements in project management, environmental impact analysis, lifecycle assessment, platform development, pilot testing, and communication strategies. Each work package leader presented key advances, sparking active discussions and valuable insights.
This dynamic exchange reinforced the project’s shared vision: to deliver innovative solutions that will transform how the shipping industry measures, reduces, and communicates its environmental footprint. The review confirmed that ESY is on track to deliver real impact, strengthening collaboration between partners and paving the way for the next phase of pilot deployments and platform rollout. The positive feedback received underlines the project’s strong potential to shape a more sustainable future for maritime transport.
