Meet EcoShipYard at TRA 2026

CATEGORY:

The EcoShipYard project will be present at the Transport Research Arena (TRA) 2026, taking place from 18 to 21 May 2026 in Budapest, Hungary.

TRA 2026 is one of Europe’s leading events for transport research, innovation, industry, and policy. Under this year’s theme, “Re-Generation in Transport”, the event will bring together key stakeholders working towards cleaner, smarter, more sustainable, and more circular transport systems.

For EcoShipYard, TRA 2026 represents an important opportunity to present the project’s contribution to the transformation of European shipyards. The project focuses on promoting sustainable shipbuilding practices, reducing the environmental impact of shipyards, improving energy efficiency, optimising operations, and supporting material circularity across the ship lifecycle.

A key objective of EcoShipYard is the development and implementation of an EU Material Passport for ships, which will support improved material traceability, reuse, recycling, and circular management within the European shipbuilding ecosystem.

During the event, EcoShipYard will be available at the WaterborneTP booth. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the project’s objectives, ongoing activities, and expected results, as well as to exchange ideas on sustainable shipyards, circular economy, material traceability, maritime innovation, and the future of European shipbuilding.

Small project gifts will also be available at the booth.

EcoShipYard looks forward to connecting with researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, innovators, shipyards, technology providers, and the wider transport community in Budapest.
