Posidonia 2024: ESY presence at the booth of DANAOS partners!

CATEGORY:

We are delighted to have participated in Posidonia 2024, held from June 3rd to June 7th at the Athens Metropolitan Expo. This premier international maritime exhibition, organized by Posidonia Exhibitions SA, is a pivotal platform for knowledge exchange and business promotion, significantly bolstering the local economy and Greece’s global maritime standing.

This year, DANAOS showcased the innovative ECOSHIPYARD project, an EU-funded initiative that promotes sustainable shipbuilding practices and material circularity within the European Union. Our mission with EcoShipYard is to minimize the environmental footprint of shipyards, enhance energy efficiency, optimize operational processes, and measure and mitigate non-operational impacts.

With a diverse team of shipyards, research organizations, and technology providers from various EU member states, EcoShipYard is exploring new ways to manage material circularity, including the development and implementation of an EU-material passport for ships.

Co-funded by the European Union. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 101138730.
