On the 4th of June, the EcoShipYard consortium held its 5th and final General Assembly meeting at the NTUA premises in Athens, bringing partners together at a crucial stage of the project as it enters its final implementation and validation period.
The in-person meeting offered an important opportunity for direct discussion, open alignment and collective decision-making on the project’s next steps. Face-to-face exchanges proved especially valuable for addressing technical progress, clarifying priorities and strengthening collaboration among partners.
Key discussions focused on the progress of the project’s core outputs, including the Ship Digital Passport / Material Passport, the Shipyard Environmental Performance Indicator, the ESY platform and PDCA workflow, VR-supported training material, and the validation of pilot use cases.
The meeting also underlined the importance of transforming EcoShipYard’s technical results into practical and sustainable pathways for future uptake. Partners discussed how the project’s tools and methodologies can support shipyards, shipowners and wider maritime stakeholders in improving environmental performance, circularity and operational decision-making.
The consortium also reflected on the importance of continued stakeholder engagement as the project moves towards its final event and completion.
Overall, the meeting confirmed the importance of in-person collaboration in moving from technical development to implementation, validation and future exploitation. By bringing partners together around shared priorities, EcoShipYard strengthened its collective focus on delivering practical, sustainable and market-relevant solutions for the future of shipyards.
